The Webinar

Emerging risks in private credit are rarely hidden. Strengthening due diligence and portfolio monitoring to get ahead of the regulatory response.

The warning signs are usually in plain sight. They sit in public filings, ownership structures, adverse media and litigation records that no one joins up. As private credit grows more complex, the risks that most often go unchecked are integrity risks: who really owns and controls a borrower, who it is connected to, and what its record already shows. Lenders, LPs, insurers and regulators are pressing the same question: were the financial crime and integrity checks adequate, and can you prove it?

This Themis webinar brings senior practitioners together to discuss how firms can strengthen borrower due diligence and portfolio monitoring before regulatory pressure or reputational risk becomes real exposure, and where traditional, point-in-time diligence no longer holds, from overlapping leverage and hidden counterparties to borrower behaviour that deteriorates between reporting cycles.

The discussion is practical and focused on what lenders and investment teams control:

  • Independent borrower and principal verification
  • Connected party and ownership risk mapping
  • Ongoing monitoring across the life of a loan
  • Sanctions, adverse media and integrity risk screening
  • Creating auditable evidence for ICs, LPs, insurers and regulators

This is a live, registration-only webinar. A recording will be shared with attendees afterwards.
