About This Event

At Themis, our mission is to reduce the global impacts of financial crime. We help organisations understand risk in their business relationships — and deliver education that protects people, communities, and the natural world around us.

Journalists are a vital part of that mission. We’re inviting you to breakfast for an off-the-record discussion on how AI and data are transforming the fight against financial crime — from fraud and illicit finance to environmental and social harm.

During the session, we’ll share specific case studies highlighting the real-world impact of AI in uncover

  • Environmental crime and illicit wildlife trade
  • Fraud and criminal financial networks
  • Modern slavery and human trafficking
  • The criminal misuse of technology and social media

If there are any other predicate crimes or typologies you’d like us to explore, please let us know - we’ll do our best to incorporate them into the discussion.

This is not a presentation; it’s a conversation. Together, we can shine a light on hidden risks and work toward uncovering truth, protecting people, and safeguarding the planet.

Spaces are limited. RSVP by 12 November 2025 to confirm your place.
